Remove Sun Damage and Brown Spots with DermaSweep

DermaSweep for Sun Damage

DermaSweep is a treatment for various skin problems including blemishes, acne scars, stretch marks, clogged or enlarged pores and sun damage. It is a form of microdermabrasion in which the topmost layer of dead skin cells is removed. It is a non-invasive procedure that does not involve the use of chemicals. The exfoliation involved in DermaSweep encourages the deeper part of the skin to produce more collagen that, in turn, causes new skin to move quickly to the surface. The process also increases blood circulation.

What is DermaSweep?

DermaSweep is a system used for exfoliating the skin. The machine includes a vacuum that sucks up dead skin cells and a variety of brushes that scrub off the top layer of dead skin cells. The bristles of the brushes are made of a variety of materials to handle different skin types. Some brushes have coarse bristles for thick and oily skin while a brush with silk bristles can be used on the eyelids or lips.

After the exfoliation is finished, the vacuum suction is reversed and used to administer any of several infusions used to treat an array of skin problems.

Each session takes 30 to 75 minutes. DermaSweep can be performed as often as every two weeks. Some clients prefer to undergo the treatment once every four or six weeks while most clients undergo four to six treatments. The treatment is painless, and the main reported side effect is a temporary reddening of the skin. During your consultation, we’ll help create a treatment plan that is right for you.

While DermaSweep is used mainly on the face, it can also be used on the neck or chest. Clients may also request a “dry” treatment in which the practitioner does not administer any infusions.

What are the infusions like?

DermaSweep offers three types of infusions: EpiFusions, PeelFusions, and PremiumFusions.

EpiFusions are used to treat specific skin problems like dryness or discoloration. A PeelFusion provides the same benefits of a chemical peel, but it works more quickly and with less flaking or peeling. PremiumFusions rejuvenate the skin with a variety of enzymes and peptides.

How to Prepare for a DermaSweep treatment?

The client must not have taken any generic forms of Accutane for at least a year before treatment. They also need to tell their aesthetician if they have a history of fever blisters or cold sores. The client must avoid exposure to the sun for two weeks before and after the treatment.

The client needs to stop using any medicated facial products like Retin-A at least two days before the treatment. Similarly, they should not use any other exfoliating products like clay masks or scrubs for at least two days before the treatment. The client should avoid facial waxing, electrolysis, and self-tanning products for at least two days before undergoing DermaSweep.
