No one wants to talk about women experiencing facial hair. It’s okay for a guy to need to shave every morning before going to work, but when a woman has to talk about dealing with an unsightly mustache, chin hairs and other facial hair, it is usually quite embarrassing. Women want to have smooth, blemish-free and hair-free facial skin. They do not want to have to tweeze unwanted facial hair or shave it off. Most women simply wish it was gone. Some women have heard of laser hair removal. They may be interested in this procedure, but they are not really sure about the results or have some other doubt that is holding them back. A great alternative is facial waxing.
When you come into our office for a consultation, it is important that you fully disclose any medications and supplements you are taking as well as any health conditions that you may have. You must be upfront with our aesthetic professionals for them to determine if this treatment is right for you.
Before you come in for treatment, you need to make sure that your hair is sufficiently long to receive treatment. If the hair on your face is too short, the wax will not be able to attach to the hair, and when we remove the wax, there will be no hair in it. We usually recommend that the hair is at least a quarter of an inch long. This will ensure the best results and will mean that the results of the wax will last as long as possible.
During your first visit, it is likely that your skin will be quite sensitive. However, the more often you visit us for facial waxing, the more comfortable the procedure will be. Over time, your hair will become less thick. This means that the discomfort you feel each time will be reduced. Most of our clients visit us every three to six weeks to receive treatment.
